What is "Mini Acres"? You've never heard of it?
You're in for a pleasant surprise!
Mini Acres is what many people think they will be seeing at a dollhouse miniature show. Dollhouses for sale. Typically, because of their size, there are not many actual dollhouses at a show -- only the accessories -- the cute, realistic, artistic, items hand-made by artisans or commercially produced.
Eight years ago, for the first time ever, anyone who wanted to sell a dollhouse could
1. Sign a "listing agreement".
2. Pay a $20.00 "listing fee" (which is waived if you are a dealer at the show).
3. Bring the house, barn, lighthouse, or other structure to the show Friday afternoon October 18, 2024 between 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm, or early Saturday morning October 19, 2024 between 8 am and 9:45 am. (There will be willing helpers to help you unload, if needed.) Perfect property? Handyman Special? Not yet assembled? It does not matter. Just like real life, buyers and sellers come together.
4. Provide a phone or text number that we will place on your property along with the selling price so prospective buyers can contact you during the show.
5. A "sales agent" will be on hand to direct you to the designed lot in "Mini Acres", a new neighborhood designed for that purpose. The tables are covered. There are random chairs nearby but you are not expected to sit all day near your property. The phone number on the For Sale sign will do the trick.
6. Remember, in order for there to be a "lot" for your house, you must list BEFORE the show -- not AT the show.
Mini Acres" has been hugely successful! And it is back for Portland's 2024 show.
